7 STEPS Episode 14: Learning True Kindness Part 1

Peter explains the mature adds godliness and loving kindness to their lifestyle. He says, “and in [exercising] steadfastness [develop] godliness (piety), And in[exercising] godliness [develop] brotherly affection…” 2 Peter 1:6-7 AMP

In Ephesians 4:12-16 (NLT2) Paul adds, “Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. 13 This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
14 Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.”

“15 Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.
16 He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.”

7 STEPS Episode 8: Use Your Spiritual Knowledge To Become Strong in Spirit (endurance) Part 2

1/ It is absolutely imperative that you become a tough, strong willed Christian, the strength of character will carry you through to God’s promises and purposes.
2/ It takes strength [endurance] to obey the will of God in spite of great resistance, opposition, trials, tribulations, and natural disasters.
3/ Weakness will throw you into defeat, bitterness, and sorrow. The weak sin and give all kinds of excuses. The weak cannot stand disappointments, unexpected circumstances, unfavorable situations, and temporary setbacks of their dreams and plans.

7 STEPS Episode 7: Use Your Spiritual Knowledge To Become Strong in Spirit (self-control) Part 1

Even though it takes many, many days to wait on God to develop and mature you, it is imperative to press forward and seek Him and learn His Word. Ignorance is not bliss. Knowing the truth leads you to further trust and cooperation with God to experience His will in your life. God wants you strong. Self-control to strongly live righteously instead of being destroyed by sin is His will for your life.

He does NOT use a magic wand to strengthen you. Come on, you do not get physically strong by reading weight lifting books. The same is true for spiritual growth. Instead He gives you circumstances, trials, tribulations, etc to let you exercise your knowledge of God for the purpose of working out your salvation. You must become strong in spirit!

“Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living.” Romans 6:18 (NLT2)

7 STEPS Episode 9: Learn God’s Purposes For Suffering Part 1

Failure to understand suffering will produce bitterness not forgiveness and Christ-like character.

“And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: ‘My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; 6 For whom the LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.’” Hebrews 12:5-6 (NKJV)

chastening = tutorage, i.e. education or training; by implication disciplinary correction :- chastening, chastisement, instruction, nurture.

rebuked = of uncertain affinity; to confute, admonish :- convict, convince, tell a fault, rebuke, reprove.

scourged = to flog (literal or figurative) :- scourge.

¹³ These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Change your way of budgeting and spending money. Even the motive of why you work must change!

“Did you used to make ends meet by stealing? Well, no more! Get an honest job so that you can help others who can’t work.”

Stop talking until you can control your words to be only helpful and kind, building up others

“Watch the way you talk. Let nothing foul or dirty come out of your mouth. Say only what helps, each word a gift.”

Think how children break their parents hearts. Disobedience cuts you off from God’s grace leaving you stuck and trapped in sin!

“Don’t grieve God. Don’t break his heart. His Holy Spirit, moving and breathing in you, is the most intimate part of your life, making you fit for himself. Don’t take such a gift for granted.”

Do not stop until you completely change your words, attitudes, and deeds. You will know you are right (righteous) when you are gentle and forgiving

Phase 3 begins your life serving “…because you are strong and vigorous, and the Word of God is [always] abiding in you (in your hearts), and you have been victorious over the wicked one.” John 2:14 (AMP)

First the big idea is the ability to stand strong and serve both God and the Christian family around you. This means taking the BIG STEP 5 through developing godliness into your life. The primary way this is evident is seen through Jesus. “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:26-28 (NLT2) God is the king of LOVE which is sacrificial giving.

“Since by your obedience to the Truth through the [Holy ] Spirit you have purified your hearts for the sincere affection of the brethren, [see that you] love one another fervently from a pure heart.” 1 Peter 1:22 (AMP)

Do you have the strength to stand strong when the world hates you? “I write to you, young men, because you are strong and vigorous, and the Word of God is [always] abiding in you (in your hearts), and you have been victorious over the wicked one.” John 2:14 (AMP)

This is a discussion of Step 4 (develop endurance), the final push to leave Level 2 (immaturity) and enter Level 3 (mature servant of the Lord).

“Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe. ²⁹ For our God is a devouring fire.” Hebrews 12:28-29 (NLT2)

Randy focuses on the need to be so strong that you will not be shaken under pressure, trials, opposition, and difficult circumstances so that you can continue in your service of your King Jesus. This talk is centered on understanding Level 2 (which is immaturity) and how to move forward through Step 4 (adding all diligence to [exercising] self-control [develop] steadfastness [patience, endurance]) for the purpose of entering the next phase of life, the mature servant of the Lord.

Episode 5: The Powerful Grace of Spiritual Gifts

To achieve the unity of spirit, God gives powerful grace gifts to all believers. We call them motivational spiritual gifts through which each person views and interprets people and events differently.

Romans 12:6 GW
God in his kindness gave each of us different gifts.

Ephesians 4:7 GW
God’s favor has been given to each of us. It was measured out to us by Christ who gave it.

Romans 12:3-8 GW
Because of the kindness [grace] that God has shown me, I ask you not to think of yourselves more highly than you should. Instead, your thoughts should lead you to use good judgment based on what God has given each of you as believers. [4] Our bodies have many parts, but these parts don’t all do the same thing. [5] In the same way, even though we are many individuals, Christ makes us one body and individuals who are connected to each other. [6] God in his kindness [grace] gave each of us different gifts. If your gift is speaking God’s word, make sure what you say agrees with the Christian faith. [7] If your gift is serving, then devote yourself to serving. If it is teaching, devote yourself to teaching. [8] If it is encouraging others, devote yourself to giving encouragement. If it is sharing, be generous. If it is leadership, lead enthusiastically. If it is helping people in need, help them cheerfully.

The Coming Wrath of God

God is the creator of everything, and His laws are justly placed over all His domain including every person who ever lived and will live. As real as the government of each country has authority over its inhabitants, God has authority over everyone.

His laws are just and for the good of all mankind. Like traitors who rebel against their own nation, the vast majority of this world will not bow to His authority.

Romans 3:5-20 (NKJV)
5 But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unjust who inflicts wrath? (I speak as a man.)
6 Certainly not! For then how will God judge the world?
7 For if the truth of God has increased through my lie to His glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?
8 And why not say, "Let us do evil that good may come"?--as we are slanderously reported and as some affirm that we say. Their condemnation is just.
9 What then? Are we better than they? Not at all. For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin.

19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place to pay for all our lawbreaking and rebellion. His blood fully paid for all people's crimes, legally giving everyone the opportunity to become an adopted child of God.

But, those who refuse must be brought to justice for such grave criminal activity. None are right before God, all are convicted criminals.

Soon Christ will actually return to earth and this time bring judgment to all sinners. God's word warns us all that when that day comes it will be capital punishment for the wicked and the beginning of heaven on earth for the saints.

Love Your Enemies

To this day in Israel it is common for contractors, archaeologists, and even people of everyday life to trip over proof that the Bible is historically accurate. Unbelievers from the past have even been so obsessed to prove God wrong, that they travelled to Israel, or chased ancient manuscripts across Europe and the Middle East, but gave up in surprise and followed Jesus.

When you are honest and open to investigate, instead of parroting others statements, you will intellectual be honest enough and find the truth. Half hearted seekers are satisfied with insufficent information and half truths. Those who dare to face truth, follow the evidence to wherever it really leads, and meet God.

Because God loves mankind, in spite of their rebellion and unbelief, He reveals Himself in the same way we reveal ourselves to people. We realize someone exists when we meet them for the first time, or someone we know tells us about them.

I knew I was a grandfather because my sons told me before I ever met the kids. Then I met them and loved them even more.

God met people in the past, and they wrote a record so we could know God too. He told some of them things that would happen in the future so that we would believe and seek to know Him.

Creation Evidence

Our creator is a being of uncomparable knowledge, power, and character. His overwhelming energy and presence is the only way our vast, huge universe could be made. The power, matter and form were blasted into existence by the spoken voice of a monstrous, all powerful person who says His name is "I AM".

The ever present God exists and His presence is so powerful and different that man cannot live in His realm anymore than we could live in the sun. He created us to share His life with us and wants us to be transformed forever to be His people.

The Bible tells the truth about the horrible acts of ancient men. It reveals our creator owes us nothing, He gave us life and place to live. But He loves us and made us to be like Him, not like the animals or His enemy.

God will restore His creation one day, and the Bible reveals this amazing story from God's perspective.

True Repentance: The Key To The Door of Heaven

Two primary doctrines that cannot be bent, ignored, or twisted without destroying your eternal hope is REPENTANCE and GRACE. Christ warned repeatedly not to be deceived, and spelled out clearly how to be protected from such satanic lies and confusion. Today both these truths are buried under the lies of false preachers and teachers, and the church is full of corrupted members claiming religious freedom to live their lives without the burden of God's rules. We are in troubling times!

Christ's first series of messages were completely based on repentance. By repeatedly preaching "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand" [Matt 4:17 (NKJV)] the Lord gathered followers. The full force of His call was to everyone to "change your mind for the better, heartily amend your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins" (AMP). After gathering disciples he shifted to explaining the full weight of what this life of repentance meant. We call it the Sermon on the Mount, and Christ finished His truth with extreme warnings of great deception about this life of repentance.

Enter through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and spacious and broad is the way that leads away to destruction, and many are those who are entering through it. 14 But the gate is narrow (contracted by pressure) and the way is straitened and compressed that leads away to life, and few are those who find it. [Matt 7:13-14 (AMP)]

True Grace: The Key To Successful Christian Living

No, I came to accomplish their purpose. 18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God's law will disappear until its purpose is achieved. 19 So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God's laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven."(Matthew 5:17-19 NLB) Well, Jude says, "ungodly persons who pervert the grace of our God into lawlessness"contradict (deny or disown) Jesus and put words in His mouth. Grace is not a license to ignore God's written commands!

"For certain men have crept in stealthily [gaining entrance secretly by a side door]. Their doom was predicted long ago, ungodly persons who pervert the grace of our God into lawlessness and wantonness and immorality, and disown and deny our sole Master and Lord, Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One)." [Jude 1:4 AMP]

In the first generation of the church, repentance and the grace of God were already attacked and distorted by false teachers. Remember, our Lord warned us "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing..." [Matt 7:15 (NKJV)]

The Only Way To Heaven
